Bayern Munich shortlist embattled Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag to take over from Tuchel this summer

Bayern Munich have placed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on a new list of possible successors to outgoing manager, Thomas Tuchel.

 

According to Sky Sports, Bayern have contacted Ten Hag’s agent Kees Vos to enquire if the Dutchman would be open to taking over at the Allianz Arena.


No formal talks have taken place with Ten Haag himself, but he has been made aware of Bayern’s interest.

 

Ten Hag communicated to his agent that his sole focus is on finishing the season strongly with the Old Trafford side, who still want to secure European football and win the FA Cup.


The 54-year-old, has been confident of remaining at the club beyond the summer despite the uncertainty over his position as INEOS make sweeping changes to the football structure.


Ten Haag is held in high esteem by Bayern, where he worked as a team B coach during the Pep Guardiola Era at the club.

 

Bayern’s hierarchy believe Ten Hag’s coaching has been hampered by a  off-field issues and a poor operational set-up at United. The report reads

 

His work at Ajax and his debut season in England has been given more credence than the current injury-riddled campaign, in which Ten Hag also had to manage through a protracted takeover of the club.


Before Ten Haag was shortlisted, Ralf Rangnick turned Bayern's offer down after Julian Nagelsmann and Xabi Alonso.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said Point of Sales (POS) transactions value had increased from N38 million per month in 2012 to N24 billion monthly in June, 2014This is contained in a report on e-payment transactions released by the apex bank in Abuja on Monday.According to the report, mobile money transaction values up to N819 million monthly.“The POS transaction increased in volume from less than 2000 in January 2012 to 1.6 million per month as at June 2014.“Over 150,000 POS terminal is presently across the country and 22 mobile money operators has been licensed,’’ it added.It added that licensed Payment Terminal Service providers increased from five to 10 to increase POS terminal penetration across the country.It noted that Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) instant Transfer had increased in volume from 87,000 transactions a month in January 2012 to 3.1 million transactions a month as at June 2014.

  A former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has appealed to Anambra state pupil, Mmesoma Ejikeme, whose JAMB result was withdrawn, to ‘’come clean" with the source of her result so he can beg the board to show some leniecy towards her.   In a statement released on Wednesday July 5, Chidoka, who is also the owner of the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centre where Mmesoma sat for her examination, said he will beg the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for leniency, if she explains how she got the result she was parading. He pointed out that the result Mmesoma was parading had the initial name on his center which has since been changed. His statement reads;     “Miss Nmesoma Ejikeme took her 2023 JAMB at my foundation’s Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Center at Obosi.
