United States Put Three Boko Haram Leaders On Global Terrorist List

The names of three Boko Haram  leaders have been added to the global list of terrorists.   Abubakar Shekau, Abubakar Adam Kambar and Khalid al-Barnawi  are the newest names on the international terror lists as part of the United states efforts to control the recurrent terrorist attacks in Nigeria. In a  statement issued on Thursday by the State Department  they were “blocked all of Shekau’s, Kambar’s and al-Barnawi’s property interests subject to US jurisdiction and prohibits US persons from engaging in transactions with or for the benefit of these individuals”. Before this designation, Shekau’s name was the only terrorist known to the Nigerian public, as other operatives had used aliases to conceal their identities.
