TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said his country will press forward with efforts to ward off military action by the U.S. and its allies against the Tehran-backed regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, Iranian state TV reported on Thursday.    From  TMZ Lee Thompson Young, who played the main character on Disney's "The Famous Jett Jackson" has died after what officials believe is a suicide TMZ has learned. He was 29. Sources tell us Young's body was discovered with a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted. Young currently appears in the TNT show "Rizzoli & Isles" and we're told when he didn't show up to work this morning, staffers called the landlord of Young's L.A. home to check up on the actor. We're told ... when the landlord opened the door, he discovered Young's body. Lee's publicist confirms the actor killed himself, telling TMZ, "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning ... According to The Times of London, after news spread that Moradi had been elected, religious conservatives petitioned to have her disqualified because she's 'too attractive.' and would be a cause of distraction. "We don’t want a catwalk model on the council," a senior official in Qazvin said. Egyptian security forces have cleared remaining Islamist protesters from a Cairo mosque after a stand-off and an exchange of fire, a security source has told AFP. Supporters of ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi were dragged from the mosque by police on Saturday, the official said. Witnesses said that Egyptian security forces stormed the al-Fateh mosque after firing tear gas at hundreds of supporters of the country’s ousted president barricaded inside. The mosque served as a field hospital and morgue following clashes on Friday in the area. Minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala said yesterday during the opening of the two-day meeting of Commissioners of Finance and Accountants-General of States, that the federal government can't meet the N92billion being demanded by ASUU.  Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said “At present, ASUU wants the Federal Government to pay N92 billion in extra allowances, when the resources are not there, and when we are working to integrate past increases in pensions. Since I assumed office, the share of recurrent expenditure in our total budgets had increased astronomically. In fact, recurrent expenditure accounted for about 77.2 per cent of the federal budget and we are now working to re-balance this ratio. Paypal billionaire Elon Musk, inset, has revealed plans for a radical new 'Hyperloop' transport system that could 'shoot' passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 30 minutes. Travellers enter aluminium pods mounted by skis either to their feet or to their cars, top. From November 2013, Nigeria will be among the six listed Commonwealth 'high risk' countries whose citizens will be required to pay £3,000 tourists visa bond before they are allowed into the UK. The remaining five are: India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. But here's what the UK government are saying to pacify citizens of these countries who are outraged by this new policy. They say it's not all visitors that will be required to pay the bond, just people they consider 'highest risk'; that is people who will collect visa and refuse to leave Britain or overstay their visa terms. Those paying bonds will receive the bond back, if they abided by the terms of their visa. One of the world's richest women, billionaire oil tycoon Mrs Folorunsho Alakija recently acquired four brand new 2013 G-Wagons for her four sons, according to a report by Society Now .  The luxury SUVs, which were specially made for the Alakija boys, were quietly brought into the country a few weeks back.
