    A deadly explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant yesterday night Wednesday April 17th has left at least 15 people dead, including five volunteer firefighters and one police officer. The blast, which measured 2.1 on the Richter scale according to Reuters, left the town of West, 20 miles north of Waco, 'like a a warzone'. Over 180 people were injured in the blast, while dozens of homes and buildings were destroyed. Public safety officials say they expect the death toll to rise and that re scue efforts have been hampered because of hazardous chemicals in the air following the explosion. The F.B.I. today released still and video images of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings - including a man who was seen setting down a backpack at the site of the second blast - and appealed for the public’s help identifying the men. One was seen placing a dark-colored backpack outside the Forum restaurant, the site of the second bombing, just minutes before the explosion, said Richard DesLauriers, the special agent in charge of the F.B.I.'s Boston field office. “Today we are enlisting the public’s help to identify the two suspects,” Mr. DesLauriers said at a news conference on Thursday evening in Boston. In the video, both men are carrying backpacks, and wearing baseball caps, one a dark cap and one a white cap turned backward. They are walking along Boston Street.    N igerian student, Olaolu Femi, who has been in detention in the Lungask district of Ukrain for about a year after being arrested for attempted murder has been released. He was released today. Ukrainian police charged him with attempted murder, but according to eye witnesses, Olaolu was defending himself against six Ukrainian teenagers who attacked him at the entrance to his apartment block last year. Olaolu was said to have managed to get up and defended himself against the assailants with a glass from a broken bottle. "It was while he was defending himself that police arrived at the scene and the Nigerian was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted murder of five people" a Nigerian embassy staff who had knowledge of the case said at the time. source: linda ikeji
