The Trek Continues! 2Face, Bridget Kelly, MI, Tiwa Savage & More Electrify Star Music Trek 2014 in Makurdi

Makurdi came alive as thousands of music fans trooped to IBB Square Makurdi to attend the second stage ofStar Music Trek 2014. They witnessed performances from artistes such as 2Face, M.I, Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Timaya, Dammy Krane and other home grown talents.

The event, hosted by Gbenga Adeyinka, saw Tiwa Savage perform “Missing You“, her tribute to late singer Zara Gretti. Wande Coal also perfromed a snippet of his new single, ”Baby Hello“.
2Face also gave a sensational duet performance with international singer-song writer Bridget Kelly ofRoc Nation. They performed ”Let Somebody Love You”, off the music legend’s forthcoming album,Ascension.

A pre-party to herald the Star Music Trek concert was also held on Friday 4th April 2014 at Pages Bar, Makurdi with special guest artiste, 2Face. He also presented a gift prize of an LCD TV, from the raffle draw, which also held at the pre-gig party to a lucky winner.
On Saturday 12th April 2014, The Trek moves on to Ibom Hall Ground, Uyo for the third concert in its exciting 10 week, 10 city line up.

Britain sends envoy to Zimbabwe ahead of inauguration

Britain’s Africa minister Rory Stewart arrived in Zimbabwe on Thursday for wide-ranging talks, ahead of the inauguration of a new president following Robert Mugabe’s dramatic departure.

Stewart is due to meet political and business leaders, as well as human rights groups and NGOs, the UK foreign ministry said in a statement.

His arrival in the capital Harare comes just days after Mugabe’s resignation on Tuesday, ending his 37-year rule as MPs gathered in parliament to impeach their 93-year-old leader. Stewart described the historic change as “an absolutely critical moment” following
